The MusicFest Gondola Sessions: Jake Worthington
In 2025, we launched something new: a little series we call The MusicFest Gondola Sessions. Artists joined Anne Hudson on a ride up the mountain to talk about their music, their time at the fest, and a whole lot more.
We were honored to have Jake as our very first guest, and believe it or not, it was his first-ever gondola ride!

Real Life, Real Music with Kyle Hutton: Kat Hasty – The MusicFest 2025
As a child, before she knew how to put words on paper, Kat Hasty was singing and writing music. Born and raised in West Texas, her upbringing pours through her songwriting in tales of desert highways and the hustle and bustle of oil towns. Laced with heartache, joy, loss and female angst, her songs are ingenious and uniquely her own. The songwriter has released her first album ‘Drowning In Dreams’, a live session collection with OurVinyl, three additional singles as of 2023, and the latest release ‘Midland’ the EP which has garnered support from all over the world. Talented and motivated, she is set to begin a long career sharing her stories and growing into the performer that she is fated to be.
Real Life, Real Music with Kyle Hutton: Randall King – The MusicFest 2025
A West Texas native and self-described “old soul,” Warner Music Nashville’s Randall King has never wavered in his honky-tonk allegiance – in fact, he’s worn it like a badge of honor, growing with pride into a leading voice for today’s traditional country. Amassing over 300 Million streams with singles like “You In A Honky Tonk,” “Hey Cowgirl” and “Mirror, Mirror,” he’s kept the twang alive in country’s mainstream while also earning acclaim through deeply personal EPs like 2020’s Leanna, and his 2022 major label album debut, Shot Glass – which landed on both Whiskey Riff’s Top 40 Country Albums of 2022 and Billboard’s All Genre 50 Best Albums of 2022 (So Far). Schooled on icons like Keith Whitley, George Strait, Alan Jackson and John Anderson, but inspired by modern masters like Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan, King first built an independent, grass-roots following on the strength of his electrifying live shows – each one a harrowing mix of rowdy roughnecking, romantic tenderness and breathtaking emotion – never asking for permission to explore his creative vision.

Real Life, Real Music with Kyle Hutton: Hope MacGregor – The MusicFest 2025
Hope MacGregor’s first love was music. If you’d have run across her grandmother in the grocery store, she would have told you that Hope could sing the entirety of The Sound of Music before she could speak a full sentence. Hope began writing her own material at fifteen and playing with a small band of friends in her corn-fed, midwestern hometown. She tried to convince her parents to let her drop out of high school to head to Nashville, but their collective wisdom forbade it. And then, in 2007, the Army came calling. Hope answered. She reported to the United States Military Academy to join the class of 2011. She branched aviation and reported to flight school upon graduation. Then, in October 2012, Hope pinned on her wings as an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter pilot.
